Application of Sajade natural wall coating

Sajade is exceptionally suited for the whole living space as well as business and public areas: staircase, lifts, offices, medical practice rooms, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, representational rooms, hotels, businesses, pubs, theatres, concert halls and discos…
Sajade can also be used in moisture-prone areas like bathrooms, saunas, swimming pools and so on. Sajade lends itself to the furnishing of new buildings, to the restoration of old buildings and to every kind of redecoration.
The Institute for Ecological Architecture (Institut für Baubiologie GmbH (IBR)) in Rosenheim regularly tests the environmentally compatible characteristics of the Sajade natural wall coatings and reports:
“The product of the company JaDecor GmbH is a textile surface coating based on natural fibre material. …The material contributes significantly to the improvement of the room acoustics. It is particularly suited to constructions which are being conducted in strict environmentally friendly way.”

Characteristics of Sajade natural wall coating
|
During application Sajade is easy to spread matter through the addition of water. Further, the dry Sajade-surface is capable of storing and releasing up to 3 l/m2 of moisture.
Steamy windows, mirrors, moisture-filled bathrooms and the build up of mould are a thing of the past!
The DIN 52615, page 1, test by the Rosenheim Institute for Ecological Architecture repeatedly confirmed the moisture regulating effect of the JaDecor wall coating.
Sajade, when applied to the wall, results in a material with an elastic texture and structural surface. On a conventional smooth surface, sound waves are reflected. A Sajade coated wall will absorb sound.
A Sajade wall and ceiling coating has the capability to insulate the space from outside noise.
Sajade has a heat conductance value of 0.04 W/mk, which compares favourably to a good insulating material and is consequently classified as very advantageous thermal insulator.
The German Institute for Construction Techniques (Deutsche Institut für Bautechnik) has tested Sajade to the DIN 4102 B1 standard - “Test Principles for the Obligatory Mark-of-Conformity Low-inflammable (Category B1) Building Materials”. The general approval, by the building authorities, with test number P – BRA09 – 372604 valid until 2010 was issued. According to the building material category DIN 4102 B1, the constant quality and consistency of Sajade decors as well as the quality of materials in storage are being monitored.
This is conducted by the inspection authority for the reaction to fire of building material (FireLabs) in Berlin.
The first coating will draw your attention to the elastic properties. The mixed fibre texture is extremely elastic and is therefore easy to work with. Sajade effortlessly covers cracks of 1-2 mm, flaws and small holes. Sajade does not break with hairline fractures. Sajade’s elasticity allows small damages to be unrecognisably corrected. The water based application material can be moved freely with a tile trowel, so that the damaged spot can be corrected.
As a natural product with innate moisture, the Sajade natural wall coating does not suffer from static electrical build up. Therefore, it does not attract dirt and dust.
As natural fibres are used throughout, the colour fastness (according to grey-scale No. 1-5) is guaranteed.
The polymerisation grade of cotton – that is, the ability of fibres to interconnect with each other and with the sub-surface – is very high (up to Pw7000).
In 2008, the The Rosenheim Institute for Ecological Architecture confirmed during regular product testing, that there is no contamination of Sajade through heavy metals (test DIN 38406-E22), formaldehyde (test DIN EN 717/2) or biocides (according to blueprint F2).
Generally all decors can be applied by spraying. However, only the short fibre decors can be sprayed with a paint sprayer at 2.5 – 3.0 bar pressure.
All other medium and long fibre decors can be sprayed with the Inomat M8. When spraying with a paint sprayer the materials need to be diluted in order that a running effect is achieved in the funnel of the paint sprayer. Materials which are sprayed with the Inomat should be smoothed with a trowel, this closes pores between the fibres.
